D&I RESOURCES

Before requesting a consultation through Research Central, please review the D&I resources listed below (selected readings from the D&I literature and introduction to D&I videos/presentations).

What is dissemination science?

Dissemination science refers to evidence based methods for promoting the distribution of an innovation or intervention to a specific audience.

What is implementation science?

Implementation science is the study of methods and strategies that facilitate the uptake of evidence-based interventions into regular and sustained use at scale. Implementation Science seeks to systematically close the gap between what we know and what we do.

Aims of implementation science:

  • Develop, test and refine relevant theories, conceptual frameworks, and measures to advance research and practice in improving implementation

  • Develop and test effective strategies for implementing evidence-based practices to  improve health-related processes & outcomes.

  • Produce generalizable knowledge on  barriers and facilitators of implementation, and how implementation strategies work in various contexts and settings.
